Morning.
Horribly failed attempt at an overtaken photo, but my desire to pick my canon up came back in a hurry this-morning - for the first time in months - and this was the unedited result. Back to square one.
…and I also finally got enough deleted on my mac to have space to import over 1300 photos!

I got the 13 Inch MacBook Pro before it was considered a MacBook Pro, so it’s just the 13 inch MacBook. However, I love it. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t trade it for any other MacBook. It’s very portable, very sleek, functional, and lightweight. It’s not bulky at all and fits in most messenger bags perfectly. Now, if you have 100$-150$ to spend on a carrying bag, I recommend a Timbuk2; you can customize the ones I linked to. I have one of the regular messenger bags and I love it. It’s great for school. You can add an insert to separate your laptop from the rest of what’s in your bag. There are so many options and colors to choose from, I love it. Just a thought.

Anyways, go with the Pro. (:

haha thanks! I had a MacBook Air for a good year and a half, so I think I’m gonna go with the Pro. My uncles paying for it, so I was trying to decide between the more affordable one or the one I know I’ll like. The only restraint I had was that I absolutely need a computer for school and I didn’t know how he’d feel about spending so much on something that the regular macbook would have. I’ll pay him back everything, but I’m just gonna see if I can swing the 15 inch and, if he’s onboard, I’d be willing to get on my knees and beg for a 17 inch. Haha, I’ll pay him back, but idk what he’ll think lol but thanks for helping! I’m, most likely, getting a pro :3

Be careful with the 17 inch, you can’t replace the battery last I checked. I don’t know if the 15 inch is like that, but yeah. (:

I’m just gonna jump in here…so hiiii, I’m Abby.

If you’re going to be using this mac for school, I honestly would not get a fifteen or seventeen inch. Unless you’re planning on using it for hardcore video editing or using it as your TV, you aren’t going to use the screen to its potential or gain anything from it that you would have lost getting a 13.3 inch. The larger screen weighs more and is bulkier to lug around to classes whereas the 13.3 inch aluminum body “pro” weighs only 4.5 pounds (the polycarbonate macbook comes in at 4.7, 15-inch macbook pro at 5.5 and 17 inch at 6.6). You wouldn’t think another pound or two would make a significant difference, but if you’re going to be carrying it around all the time…trust me. It will. I carried a Dell that weighed 6 pounds for a year and I noticed a significant drop in the weight of my bag when I switched to my mac (I have the same one as Haley). My boyfriend, who has a 15-inch last gen pro (and is a videographer so is constantly editing…but bought a bigger monitor to plug it into for this), recently bought a powerbook to take to class because he was tired of carrying around the larger computer. I just don’t believe it’s worth the extra money, weight in you bag and space it’ll take up (where I can still fit my 13-inch mac in a few of my purses!) for the bigger screen.

All of the macbooks now have the built in battery, so unless you’re looking at hunting down the 13-inch pro when it was still only a macbook, you’re kind of stuck there.

I also wouldn’t throw the macbook completely out of the question. It’s still a very good computer and designed just like the aluminum unibody pros. The only significant thing you’re going to be missing out on is the illuminated keyboard (…which is my best friend).

Good luck!
